The Association of Denominational Boards of Education is calling on the Education Minister to say why he has not yet accepted several invitations for a meeting.

In a statement, it said requests were made over the past year, adding that while dates have been suggested, these meetings have been postponed.

It is again requesting an urgent meeting to discuss matters such as: staff shortages, acting arrangements, support for special needs students, Business Operations Assistants, indiscipline in schools, furniture shortages, the delayed disbursement of grants, and recent changes in policies and administration.

The Association believes talks are of the utmost importance, saying the absence of structured dialogue at this level undermines the collaborative approach necessary for effective educational leadership and policy implementation.

The entity represents 23 Denominational Boards of Education, which manage 43 out of 134 secondary schools and 341 out of 477 primary schools across T&T.
