New students from 24 countries across the Caribbean and wider world are set to be formally welcomed to The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus.
The incoming students are from T&T, St Lucia, Grenada, Guyana, the US, the UK, India, China, Nigeria and Venezuela.
They will take part in UWI’s Matriculation and Welcome Ceremony next Friday at SPEC.
As part of the long-standing UWI tradition, new students will sign the University’s register and recite the academic vow, formally becoming members of the University’s academic community.
