More than US$13 million worth of cocaine has been seized in Caribbean waters, following a joint operation involving US, Colombian and Dutch forces.
The Joint Interagency Task Force South reported that this follows a interception of a go-fast vessel off Colombia’s Caribbean coast, north of La Guajira.
Four Venezuelan nationals have been detained and 297 kilograms of cocaine has been recovered.
The operation is part of ongoing efforts to disrupt drug trafficking in the region.
