The Children’s Authority has received another cheque, as efforts continue to help clear its arrears.
According to the Social Development Ministry, the latest presentation will help cover payments in the sum of about $8.3 million.
This brings the Authority’s total commitments settled by the Ministry to about $75.6 million.
The Ministry says honouring these commitments reinforces its dedication to ensuring that agencies like the Children’s Authority are equipped to continue their vital work without disruption.
It adds that the Authority is expected to strengthen its financial management practices to facilitate the timely settlement of invoices and prevent the accumulation of further arrears.
