The first trailer for “Ramayana” has dropped.
This two-part epic directed by Nitesh Tiwari will be released worldwide this December.
The story follows exiled prince Rama (Ranbir Kapoor) and his consort Sita (Sai Pallavi) through exile into catastrophe, as Sita’s abduction at the hands of Ravana (Yash) sets in motion an epic war between righteousness and evil.
The cast also includes Ravie Dubey as Lakshman and Sunny Deol as Hanuman.
According to Variety, Part 1 is expected to culminate with the abduction itself, with the rescue campaign and the climactic battle becoming the focus for Part 2.
The score is also epic, featuring music by Hans Zimmer & A.R. Rahman.
