NCIC President Surujdeo Mangaroo says preparations for Divali Nagar 2026 are progressing well, despite uncertainty over financial support from some state enterprises.
The cost of this year’s Nagar is estimated at $5 million.
Mr Mangaroo told 103.1FM News the while the NCIC has received support from National Flour Mills and Angostura, he intends to approach the relevant ministers to discuss outstanding commitments to secure further assistance.
Mr Mangaroo assured that preparations are ahead of schedule, commercial and food booths are almost fully booked, and traffic arrangements are being finalised with the police.
Despite the financial constraints, he stressed that the NCIC will not compromise on the quality of its presentation and confirmed that Divali Nagar 2026 will remain free and open to the public.
