Children in need of life-saving surgery overseas will soon be able to receive free air travel through Caribbean Airlines, along with one accompanying parent or guardian.
This will be done through persons receiving assistance through the Children’s Life Fund.
Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar announced the initiative during her contribution to the budget debate last evening.
The Prime Minister criticized the Opposition for their vote against expanding the Children’s Life Fund, saying that even though the legislation was not perfect, it had the potential to benefit more children.
