Access to the Canaan Presbyterian School compounds remains restricted following a fire this morning.
The blaze occurred before 4:30am and damaged a block.
The Education Ministry says there will be a coordinated approach to facilitate the safe resumption of school operations.
The Fire Service is conducting a comprehensive assessment, with a detailed report expected by October 21st.
Until then, the Ministry says it is working with the school’s administration and the Presbyterian Primary Schools’ Board of Education for alternative arrangements to minimise disruption to students’ education.
It says a programme is being developed to facilitate the distribution of schoolwork and continued academic engagement from October 19th to 21st.
It adds that parents and guardians will be advised of these arrangements through the school’s established communication channels.
