The Government’s economic reorganisation plan aims to strengthen fiscal stability, attract private investment and diversify the economy, while improving productivity and infrastructure.
Minister in the Ministry of Finance, Dr Kennedy Swaratsingh, outlined the plan as he opened the budget debate in the Senate.
Dr Swaratsingh said the plan will be guided by measurable targets, with a focus on implementation and accountability.
He added that it will also lend protection to the Heritage and Stabilisation Fund while strengthening the country’s finances.
