Amazon plans to expand its drone delivery service to nearly 500 US cities by the end of the year.
The company says customers could receive eligible packages weighing up to five pounds in as little as 30 minutes.
For drone delivery, Prime members pay nothing on orders over $50, $2.99 on smaller orders, while non-members pay $4.99.
Amazon says while the service has already delivered hundreds of thousands of packages this year, drones still account for only a small share of its overall deliveries.
