WASA says it has responded to and is working on a ruptured transmission main in the vicinity of Beetham Gardens.
The incident occurred during a cleaning exercise being undertaken by another agency.
The Authority says emergency response teams were immediately deployed, with dewatering operations already underway to allow a full assessment and determine the necessary repairs.
It adds that every effort is being made to minimize the impact of this disruption.
