Eight people have been killed in a plane crash at a remote US Air Force site in Alaska.
The US military says the civilian-contracted aircraft crashed shortly after midday Thursday, after departing Anchorage International Airport.
The military added that search-and-rescue crews later confirmed there were no survivors.
While the victims have not been named, the US Air Force Alaskan Command chief said they were “dedicated professionals carrying out a vital mission in a demanding environment”.
