Nearly 1.4 tonnes of cocaine and more than 50 pounds of marijuana have been seized in a joint drug operation in the central Caribbean.
Three Dominican nationals were detained after a suspected drug-trafficking vessel was intercepted south of Punta Salinas in the Dominican Republic.
The operation involved US Joint Interagency Task Force South and authorities from the Dominican Republic, Colombia and the Netherlands.
