Efforts are underway to identify skeletal remains found in Todds Road last night.
Vallence Rambharat of the Hunters Search and Rescue Team said an anonymous call was received at 6:43pm last evening about burnt remains in the area.
The TTPS was informed, with officers joining HSRT members in a search.
The remains were found scattered about 300 metres inside Rostant Road, in a bushy area.
The skull had a single gold tooth in its upper jaw and a pair of black safety boots was also found intact at the site.
