Diljit Dosanjh has voiced support for students currently participating in protests in India.
The youth-led Cockroach Janta Party is seeking education reforms and the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Their demonstration on Monday faced a brutal police crackdown, resulting in injuries for dozens of protesters and policemen.
Weighing in on the matter, Dosanjh insisted that students deserve to be heard and treated fairly.
He also referred to the criticism he faced after supporting the farmers’ protest several years ago, saying he had previously been labelled “anti-national” and expected similar accusations again for backing the students.
