The Caroni Water Treatment Plant was restarted at 4:30am today, following a temporary shutdown overnight that affected more than 30 communities in Central and South Trinidad.
WASA says it carried out critical repair works at Bridal Road in Cunupia, which began at 6pm yesterday.
And though it has been restarted, the authority says it may take 12 hours for the supply to normalize in the affected areas.
These include Piarco, Cunupia, Chaguanas, Claxton Bay, Couva, San Fernando, Debe, Siparia and many others.
