Parts of North East Trinidad are currently being affected by a reduced water supply.
According to WASA, this is due to the impact of prolonged dry season conditions, despite the start of the wet season.
The Authority says below-average rainfall has significantly depleted river flows, causing the North Oropouche plant to cut its output, while production at the Quare Water Treatment Plant has also been reduced.
Despite this, both facilities continue to operate around the clock, with full output to resume once river flows recover.
Supplies to several communities have since disrupted including Arima, Valencia, Sangre Grande, Malabar, Guaico, Manzanilla, Fiver Rivers and Brazil.
