The Chairman of the National Academy for the Performing Arts Kenny Phillips says Jazz Fusion 2026 is a celebration of the evolution and global influence of Caribbean Jazz.

Speaking at the launch of the event on Monday, Phillips said this year’s event will be moving outdoors to become a “premium, all-inclusive production.”

“Over six years, NAPA Jazz Fusion has continue to grow into one of Trinidad and tobago’s most anticipated musical experiences, celebrating the richness, evolution, and global influence of Caribbean jazz,” he said.

“This year we proudly elevate the experience even further as we move outdoors into the beautiful NAPA courtyard—onto the steps—for a premium, semi-all-inclusive production, under the theme, “The Evolution of Caribbean Jazz.”

Jazz Fusion is a celebration of the rhythm, culture, and the evolution of Caribbean jazz, and features the sounds of the national Steel Symphony Orchestra of Trinidad and Tobago along with Dane Gulston, Johann Chuckaree, Sharda Patasar, LeAndra, Charmaine Forde, Neval Chatelal, Christo and Terri Lyons.

There will also be a special performance by the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Trinidad and Tobago.

NAPA Jazz Fusion is set for 31 May from 4pm.
