The TTPS is seeking the public’s help to identify four bodies found in Barataria, Morvant and Maracas between September 2024 and January 2026.
They are:
- A male of East Indian descent, presumably in his sixties, who was clad in a black trousers and blue top. He was found on September 8th, 2024 in Barataria after police responded to a report of a decomposing body near the Westbound lane of the Churchill Roosevelt Highway in the vicinity of the Maritime Overpass.
- A man believed to be named “Sean Gooding”. He was found on May 23rd, 2025 when police responded to a report of a Sudden Death” on Eighth Avenue North, Barataria. He is of African descent and brown skinned, with an afro hairstyle and a full beard. He was wearing a red t-shirt and black jeans.
- A man possibly named Ronald Richard, whose nude body was found on December 31st 2025 floating in the Malick River, south of the Priority Bus Route near the T&TEC sub-station. He is of African descent, slim-built and about 5 feet 7 inches tall.
- A man possibly named “Sam” whose decomposing body was found on January 25th 2026 in a shack near the first lookout along the North Coast Road, Maracas. He is of African descent, and believed to be about 80 years old.
