Jos Buttler has surpassed Kieron Pollard to become the leading run-scorer in T20 history.
He cracked six sixes to help Manchester Super Giants end a three-match losing streak with a thumping win over Welsh Fire in The Hundred.
Buttler overtook Pollard’s aggregate of 14,803 career runs with the first of three successive sixes off Marco Jansen, and said that he was “really proud” of his achievement.
Runs in the Hundred count towards players’ T20 records for statistical purposes, despite the format being 20 five-ball overs.
