Guyana’s President Dr Irfaan Ali has been awarded the CEAPI Medal of Honour in Madrid, Spain.
The presentation was made in recognition of his leadership and contributions to Guyana’s development and its growing international stature.
It came during Dr Ali’s one-day visit to Madrid, where he engaged in discussions with Mayor José Luis Martínez-Almeida, focusing on the influence of sports tourism on urban and national development.
He also visited the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, home of Real Madrid, where he gained insights into the management and maintenance of this globally renowned sporting venue.
