A brief electricity disruption affected several parts of Trinidad this morning, following operational issues at one of the country’s independent power producers.
In a statement, T&TEC said the disruption began at approximately 8:50AM, affecting areas including San Juan, Santa Cruz, El Dorado, St. Augustine, Penal and La Brea.
The Commission says it worked with the power producer to stabilize generation, with electricity restored to all affected areas by 9:16AM.
T&TEC says it will continue to monitor the network.
