Approximately 2,000 kilometres of Trinidad and Tobago’s national road network will be assessed from January next year, as part of a major road safety initiative.
This will identify high-risk areas and determine where infrastructure improvements are most needed.
Transport Minister Eli Zakour says it forms part of ongoing efforts to improve road safety through education, enforcement, safer infrastructure and responsible road use.
The assessment will take six to eight months to complete.
