Persons in St Augustine and other parts of the east-west corridor can expect a clearer water supply in the coming hours.
This is according to St Augustine MP Khadijah Ameen, following reports of a discoloured water supply for the past few days.
According to Ms Ameen, turbidity in the Caroni River led to discoloured water in St. Augustine South, Oropune Gardens, Piarco, Bamboo #2, Curepe and surrounding areas.
There were reports as well of a discoloured supply as far north as Barataria.
Ms Ameen says the main is currently being flushed and that residents can expect water quality to return to normal following this exercise.
