A national effort is underway to address youth safety and juvenile delinquency in Trinidad and Tobago.

The issue was highlighted at today’s National Youth Forum, which aims to support young people between 12 and 17 and give them a greater voice in shaping their future.

The initiative aims to support efforts to improve the safety and well-being of students and is part of the wider S.A.F.E. initiative.

Education Minister Michael Dowlath urged young people to encourage their peers to stay in school, saying school is the best place for them to make a difference.
