The T&T Met Service says a tropical system in the Atlantic has a 90% chance of developing into a tropical cyclone over the next seven days.
The system is currently about 2,200 kilometres east of the Southern Windward Islands and is moving westward.
Current projections show it passing north of Trinidad and Tobago.
The Met Service has advised that there are currently no watches or warnings in effect for the country at this time.
