Residents of Carnbee/Mt. Pleasant are calling for stronger police presence and greater youth engagement following a community meeting with the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service.
At the session held at the community centre, residents urged officers to increase regular foot patrols in the area, saying more visibility is needed to deter criminal activity and improve safety.
Community members also pushed for the revival of a Police Youth Club, saying young people need structured programmes, guidance, and positive alternatives.
Concerns were also raised about delays in processing pepper spray applications, with residents seeking faster response times.
Police officials assured that the issues will be addressed, while residents stressed they want sustained action and not just discussion.
