The Government has issued a travel advisory warning against travel to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda and South Sudan.
These countries are currently battling an outbreak of the Ebola Bundibugyo virus.
Travellers are also being advised to exercise very high caution when visiting nine additional countries identified by the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention.
These are Angola, Burundi, Central African Republic, Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Zambia.
The advisory comes after the World Health Organization declared the outbreak a Public Health Emergency of International Concern.
Health Minister, Dr Lackram Bodoe, today informed the Parliament of the urgent preventative guidance issued by the Ministry.
Citizens are being urged to reconsider travel plans, stay informed, and seek medical attention immediately if symptoms develop after visiting affected regions.
