The Eastern Regional Health Authority is acknowledging concerns regarding the shortage of drugs and supplies at the Sangre Grande Hospital Campus.
In a statement, it says Health Minister Dr. Lackram Bodoe is working with officials from NIPDEC to secure supplies and has addressed the issue publicly.
According to the Authority, there are dialysis consumables for continued patient care.
As for lab consumables, while there have been supply chain challenges, it says it continues to engage suppliers to ensure an adequate supply.
Also, despite everything, it assures that all tests are available for patients who are critical or require secondary care treatment.
