A magnitude 7.4 earthquake has struck Colombia, causing injuries and significant damage in the Pacific province of Choco.
The US Geological Survey recorded the quake at around 8:30AM today, with its epicentre near San Jose del Palmar and a depth of about 79 kilometres.
According to AP News, the tremor was also felt in the capital, Bogota, neighbouring Ecuador and Venezuela.
Authorities are assessing the damage and warning residents about possible aftershocks.
