The Ministry of the People has distributed SEED grants valued in excess of $43,000 to three recipients in Arouca, D’Abadie and Tunapuna.
It says these will provide those persons with the resources to develop their businesses and pursue sustainable income opportunities.
The businesses are micro-enterprises in packaging and shipping supplies, beauty and nail technician services, and mobile waxing and beauty services.
Th grants were presented to the recipients at their homes, an approach the Ministry says will help officials to better understand circumstances and see how Government assistance can translate into tangible opportunities for individuals and families.
The SEED Programme is administered through the National Social Development Programme.
