Three men have been charged with larceny of cables following a police operation in Princes Town.
On July 31st, several lengths of cable were stored in an open area under a work shed at Realize Road, Princes Town.
Valued at nearly $45,000, the cables included:
20 metres of 300mm single-core cable
8 metres of 120mm yellow/green single-core cable
27 metres of 95mm 4-core cable
27 metres of 120mm single-core cable
Around 8:30am on August 3rd, the owner returned and discovered that the cables were missing.
During an intelligence-led exercise the next day, three suspects were detained: a 27-year-old man from Pro Village, St. Mary’s; a 26-year-old man from St. Mary’s Village, Moruga; and a 22-year-old man from St. Mary’s Village.
