Investigations are being carried out to identify those responsible for illegal dumping in the Couva Tabaquite Talparo region.
This will also soon include Carli Bay, near the entrance to the sea.
Today, 103.1FM News was alerted to the situation in Carli Bay, with a frustrated resident saying there have been failed attempts over the years to address the situation.
When contacted, Chairman of the Regional Corporation, Ryan Rampersad, lamented that illegal dumping continues to be an issue in many communities.
He said the process to address this includes an investigation by litter wardens and municipal police to identify the perpetrators.
Once found, they will be held accountable for the cleanup.
If not, he said the necessary arrangements will be put in place to clean the area.
According to Mr Rampersad, litter wardens are already working on reports of illegal dumping in San Rafael and Mamoral.
He is also urging persons to remain vigilant and report all such occurrences.
