A 50-year-old man was arrested after allegedly robbing a businesswoman in Caroni.
Around 2:05pm yesterday, the 53-year-old victim was in a vehicle in front her home along Caroni South Bank Road, when two men got out of a red Hyundai Elantra and announced a holdup.
The victim handed over an envelope containing cash, with the suspects then escaping in the waiting vehicle.
After a report was made, officers went to Savery Road in Las Lomas, where they recovered a red Hyundai Elantra and held the suspect, who is from Newlands Village, Guayaguayare.
