A woman has been safely rescued by the T&T Coast Guard after experiencing difficulty in the water off Scotland Bay yesterday.
The Coast Guard says an interceptor was immediately deployed and found the woman aboard a pirogue nearby.
First aid was administered, and she showed signs of consciousness, following which she was taken to Coast Guard Headquarters, then to the St James Health Facility for further medical attention.
The Coast Guard is reminding the public to take all necessary safety precautions when using the nation’s waters.
