DCP Junior Benjamin has confirmed that the School-Oriented Policing Unit will continue into the new academic year.
He told 103.1FM News today how the TTPS plans to strengthen the initiative.
DCP Benjamin said officers will receive continued training in de-escalation, conflict resolution and dealing with youth.
He added the TTPS will also meet with school-oriented policing officers to address challenges they face and identify ways to improve their work.
