Public Utilities Minister Barry Padarath has reported that 30,709 pipeline leaks were repaired across the country between April 2025 and April 2026.
In a social media post, the Minister says the work was carried out by WASA and its frontline teams, as part of ongoing maintenance efforts nationwide.
By region, repairs included 5,975 in the North West, 4,683 in the North East, 5,935 in Central, 6,222 in the South West, 4,270 in the South East, and 3,624 in Tobago.
The Minister says the programme is aimed at improving service reliability, reducing water loss, and strengthening the country’s water infrastructure.
