WASA expects work at the El Socorro Booster Station to be completed soon.

In an update it says repairs to the electrical starter are progressing methodically, with the process requiring additional time to ensure a thorough and safe resolution.

It adds that its technical teams remain fully in control of the operation, with the second booster unit now expected to be fully restored and returned to operation by 6pm tomorrow.

Once restarted, the El Socorro Booster Station will resume 100% production capacity, with a normal pipe borne supply to be progressively restored across all affected areas.

In the interim, the El Socorro Booster Station remains operational at 50% capacity, with one fully functional unit maintaining supply to affected areas.
