Members of the U.S. military were recently at Teteron Barracks for a training exercise with the T&T Defence Force.

U.S. Army Civil Affairs Soldiers assigned to the 98th Civil Affairs Battalion (Special Operations) (Airborne) joined TTDF and interagency partners for a Tactical Combat Casualty Care and Jungle Technical Exchange.

This ran from June 15th to 18th 2026.

The training focused on medical readiness, casualty management, and sharing best practices for operating in austere and jungle environments.

A social media post by Special Operations Command South says “Working alongside regional military, law enforcement, and security partners strengthens interoperability, enhances emergency response capabilities, and reinforces a shared commitment to addressing complex security challenges across the region.”
