A man is due before a Master of the High Court today, after Customs officers seized marijuana with an estimated street value of $1.4 million.

The drugs, along with a firearm, were discovered during an intelligence-led operation at a bonded warehouse in Port of Spain yesterday.

Customs officers uncovered 11 packages of suspected marijuana and a firearm concealed inside a washer and dryer.

The shipment was reportedly consigned to a retired Customs and Excise Guard.

One person was arrested and charged under the Customs Act.
