A US$6 million grant from the US government will go towards supporting T&T’s healthcare system over the next two years.
A Guardian Media report says the announcement was made by NCRHA chairman Dr Tim Gopeesingh yesterday, during a visit by officials from the US Health and Human Department Services and the US Embassy to the Mt Hope Women’s Hospital.
The funding is intended to support disease prevention, health surveillance, and healthcare preparedness, as well as maternal health services.
The NCRHA said the visit also focused on strengthening health partnerships and improving women’s healthcare services.
