Three students from T&T have been selected as 2026 Fulbright Scholars to pursue graduate studies in the United States.
They are Leekeesha Duncan, Nirmal Maraj and Aliyah Emmanuel.
Their studies will focus on research areas including technology for neurodivergent learners, labour policy and youth unemployment, and design and storytelling for social change.
At a recent departure reception, US Chargé d’Affaires Philip Kern encouraged the students to embrace the richness and diversity of the experience, noting that some of the most meaningful learning happens outside the classroom.
He said each scholar will return with knowledge and perspectives that can help shape T&T’s future.
