Two teenagers are among five persons held for home invasions and larceny.
During an intelligence-led operation in the Caroni and Chaguanas districts over the weekend, officers went to the Main Road Chaguanas, in the vicinity of the overpass.
They encountered two suspects, a 17-year-old boy from Caroni and a 27-year-old Jamaican national who lives in Aranguez.
Both attempted to flee, but were held several streets away.
Officers then went to a home on Ethan Avenue, Oropune Gardens where a 28-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen items.
Finally, on Sunday night during an Operation R.E.S.O.L.U.T.E Shield exercise in the Chaguanas District police held a 33-year-old Enterprise man in connection with a report of Larceny Servant, and an 18-year-old man from Edinburgh 500 as part of investigations into a report of larceny.
