The T&T Blind Welfare Association is celebrating the success of six blind and visually impaired students in this year’s Secondary Entrance Assessment.
The Association says the students’ achievements demonstrate what is possible when children have access to quality, inclusive education and the support they need to succeed.
Executive Officer Kenneth Suratt says the results should encourage the country to continue raising expectations, noting that children who are blind and visually impaired can excel when barriers to learning are removed.
The Association is also calling for continued investment in inclusive education across Trinidad and Tobago.
