India’s High Commissioner to T&T, Dr Pradeep Singh Rajpurohit, is set to leave the country this week to take up a new assignment as India’s Ambassador to Bahrain.
Dr Rajpurohit arrived in T&T in October 2023.
During a farewell event at the Mahatma Gandhi Institute last evening, he was recognised for his work in strengthening the bilateral relations between both countries.
These included official visits by India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi in June 2025 and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar in May 2026.
He also helped advance initiatives involving Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI), the provision of prosthetics, and the work of the Mahatma Gandhi Institute for Cultural Cooperation.
