Police are continuing the School-Oriented Policing Programme in 51 schools as the new academic year begins today.

Deputy Police Commissioner Junior Benjamin said police will use data from the last academic year to target fighting, vaping and marijuana possession.

He added officers will work with students, teachers and parents to improve safety and reduce offences.

DCP Benjamin also noted that the list of schools could be revised based on crime data and discussions with the Ministry of Education.
