Defending champions Queen’s Park Cricket Club opened their Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board T20 Festival Premiership One campaign with a 29-run DLS victory over Preysal Sports at the Queen’s Park Oval.
In a rain-shortened 17-over contest, QPCC posted 153 for five, powered by Andre Fletcher’s explosive 52 off 26 balls and an unbeaten 25 from Joshua Davis.
Preysal, chasing a revised target of 158, were restricted to 128 for nine despite quickfire knocks from Vishan Jagessar and Akshaya Persaud.
Vasant Singh led the bowling with three wickets as the Parkites began their title defence in winning fashion.
