The Public Services Association says negotiations over its members’ backpay remain unresolved, nearly eight months after the signing of a wage agreement.

PSA President Felisha Thomas says the union has been unable to secure a meeting with Chief Personnel Officer Dr Daryl Dindial, who has indicated that the Government is still reviewing the PSA’s counterproposal.

Ms Thomas has described the situation as “the first unsettled settlement in history,” as talks continue over the structure of the arrears package linked to the 10 per cent salary agreement.

According to the T&T Express, Dr Dindial declined to comment on the ongoing negotiations, saying he did not want to compromise the integrity of the process.
