Energy Minister Dr Roodal Moonilal has held talks with with U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Philip Kern on energy security, trade and investment opportunities.
Discussions were held on proposed data centres, a steel plant, and plans to boost energy production, investment and downstream development in T&T.
Dr Moonilal said the Government remains focused on revitalising the energy sector through exploration, production and value-added activities, while welcoming responsible investment in oil, natural gas and the restart of the Pointe-a-Pierre refinery.
The meeting also focused on strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between both countries.
