Police arrest man wanted for multiple serious offences after 20 years on the run

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service says it apprehended on Monday in San Fernando a man wanted for multiple serious offences who has been on the run for two decades.

The 44-year-old man from Siparia was held at Royal Road, San Fernando at a gas station compound.

He was held on 17 outstanding warrants in 2006, including attempted murder, possession of firearm and ammunition, and other firearm-related matters.

Officers attached to mobile patrol, PCs Samaroo, Cooper and PC Archibald acted on  information  received from Cpl Madhoo of the Court and Process Branch.

The  Trinidad  and  Tobago  Police  Service  continues  to  urge  members  of  the public to cooperate with law enforcement and provide any information that may assist in ongoing investigations
